Introduction

Using configuration files (*.config), you can change Cortex configuration settings during run time. Changes take effect immediately without having to restart the server. Cortex provides two ways to modify the configuration files at run time:
  • Apache Felix Web Console - A tool for managing the Cortex OSGi framework, which comes bundled out of the box with Cortex. Using Felix, you can directly edit the config files through the web console.
  • Cortex Configuration Files - Edit the files directly on the server to affect change within the system.

The configuration files must exist in the file system before Felix can manage them. If the configuration files do not exist in the system, Felix cannot edit them.
