New Features

Core Commerce (Previously known as Commerce Engine)

  • Added the concept of "Tax Exemptions" to the tax-calculation-connectivity API so that future customer projects can easily make customizations to provide tax exemption functionality on an order level.
  • Enhanced ep-core and tax-connectivity API in support of 3rd party tax engines.

API Changes / Name Changes

Core Commerce (Previously known as Commerce Engine)

  • Commerce Engine has been rebranded to Elastic Path Core Commerce. Elastic Path Core Commerce is one of the product components of Elastic Path ecommerce platform, and contains the same elements (Core Engine, Commerce Manager Client, Commerce Manager Server, Search Server, Storefront Server (Deprecated), Import/Export Tool, and Data Sync Tool) as Commerce Engine used to have. It is released in Elastic Path Commerce and Elastic Path Commerce for Adobe Marketing Cloud product lines, and is also available as a standalone package for customers who are upgrading but not yet able to run EP's Cortex.

  • Resolved an issue where date localization in Core Commerce integration tests was invalid
  • Resolved an issue where there was an unparsable date exception when running Core Commerce integration tests
  • Resolved an issue where AdvancedSearchFormBeanValidatorTest failed
  • Resolved an issue where "Low stock" report (the Quantity on Hand is <= Re-Order minimum) in CM Client mixed legacy and journalling inventory entries which caused Overstocked items being treated as Low Stock.
  • PResolved issues where "Order by status", "Orders awaiting stock", "Refunds and Exchange", "Shopping cart promotion usage", "StockAllocation" reports were not returning proper information. The Order By Status Report has been replaced with the Order Details Report
  • Resolved an issue where XSS search page was possible on Firefox
  • Resolved an issue where excessive calls to Camel PostProcessor causing Storefront performance degradation in throughput
